Save more of your paycheck!

Talk to the Human Resources department at your company about splitting up your paycheck into multiple accounts. Determine a certain percentage of your paycheck to go into a savings account and the rest into your checking account. By doing this automatically, the money you save is out of sight and you will be less likely to spend it. Plus, interest rates on savings accounts are generally higher than they are for checking accounts.
