Spend less to keep your home cool

Summer is officially here, and so is the hot weather. But don’t worry, you still have time to be proactive and do a few things to lower your air conditioning bill this summer. With these tips, you won’t have to sweat high bills each month:
  • Insulate your home by caulking holes and cracks that let cold air escape.
  • Use window coverings to block sunshine.
  • Don’t turn the air entirely off when you leave the house because it costs more to cool the house down. Instead,  just raise the temperature setting on your thermostat.
  • Keep your air filters clean and replace them every 30-90 days.
