ACE Cash Express Raises $36,367 to Provide School Supplies for Local Students
SAN DIEGO, CA — ACE Cash Express is making donations to 190 teachers across the nation, through partnership with AdoptAClassroom.org, so that they can purchase school supplies for their classrooms.
During ACE's annual in-store fundraiser, the Give a Little Campaign, ACE stores raised $73,979 nationally for AdoptAClassroom.org, an organization that funds teachers in order to purchase the classroom supplies and materials they need to do their job.
Employees in the Greater Los Angeles/Orange County/Inland Empire area raised $36,367 of the $73,979 total, allowing them to provide funds for school supplies to 92 classrooms in their communities.
"We really value the importance of education and we want to show our appreciation for teachers," said Elpidia Fuentes, Region Vice President of ACE. "The enthusiasm that our employees and customers have about helping others is wonderful."
The Give a Little Campaign is a national in-store fundraiser that supports charities that are chosen by ACE employees. This year’s campaign raised more than $358,000 nationally for the local chapters of AdoptAClassroom.org, American Red Cross, Back on My Feet, Big Brothers Big Sisters, Boys and Girls Club, National Down Syndrome Society and the Stars Scholarship Fund.
"Every year, teachers have to use their own money to buy basic school supplies for their classrooms," said Bob Thacker, Executive Director of AdoptAClassroom.org. "Thanks to partners like ACE Cash Express, we are able to provide teachers with the funds they need to help students succeed."
The Give a Little Campaign fundraiser is a part of ACE's charitable-giving program, the ACE Community Fund, which has donated more than $8.5 million to organizations across the nation since its inception in 2004.
