ACE Cash Express Supports JA Dallas With Volunteers, $25k
For the 9th consecutive year, ACE Cash Express employees participated in Junior Achievement's JA In A Day program. JA In A Day is an initiative that brings members of the business community into underserved schools to teach students lessons about financial literacy, the importance of getting an education and entrepreneurship.
"ACE employees continue to be passionate about giving back to the community, especially to Junior Achievement," said Eric Norrington, Senior Vice President of Public Affairs at ACE. “The financial literacy lessons in Junior Achievement’s curriculum are extremely important for students to understand.”
In addition to providing volunteer hours, ACE made a $25,000 donation to JA Dallas in support of its mission to bring the real world to students through hands-on curriculum delivered by trained classroom volunteers.
"ACE Cash Express has been a partner of Junior Achievement of Dallas since 2006 and has provided volunteers to teach financial literacy to youth from the most at-risk neighborhoods in the Dallas area," said Jan Murfield, Executive Director of JA Dallas. "The volunteer man-power and financial investments have made a difference to over 7,000 students over nine years. Their commitment to empowering youth is amazing and appreciated!"
The Community Fund, ACE's charitable-giving program, is committed to empowering organizations that help children, provide education and promote financial literacy in the communities it serves. To date, the ACE Community Fund has donated more than $10 million to organizations across the nation.
