ACE Stores in Houston Raise $21,255 for Big Brothers Big Sisters
More than 130 ACE Cash Express stores in Houston partnered with their local agency of Big Brothers Big Sisters to carry out their mission of changing the lives of Houston’s children.
During this year's Give a Little Campaign, a national in-store fundraiser supporting local charities, ACE associates in Houston raised $21,255.32 for the Big Brothers Big Sisters' Greater Houston region.
"The generosity of our customers is incredible," said RVP Dan Tharp. "Thanks to them we were able to make a meaningful impact on Big Brothers Big Sisters in Greater Houston."
The 2014 Give a Little Campaign raised more than $358,000 nationally for the local chapters of AdoptAClassroom.org, American Red Cross, Back on My Feet, Big Brothers Big Sisters, Boys and Girls Club, National Down Syndrome Society and the Stars Scholarship Fund.
"This has been another great year for Big Brothers Big Sisters working with ACE's local store associates to make a difference in the Houston community and for our kids in particular," said Ron Hadley, Greater Houston President. "We are proud to partner with ACE during their Give a Little Campaign and we are so grateful for their donation that will provide the necessary mentors to help youth be successful."
The Give a Little Campaign is a part of ACE's corporate-giving program, the ACE Community Fund. Since 2004, the ACE Community Fund has donated more than $8.5 million to charitable organizations throughout the nation and focuses on organizations that help children, support education and promote financial literacy in the communities where ACE has stores.
