ACE Cash Express Raises $447,000 for Local Charities
Each year, ACE employees select charities across the nation to be recipients of the funds raised during the Give A Little Campaign, ACE's annual in-store fundraiser. This year, thanks to the generosity of ACE employees and customers, $447,478 will be donated among the local chapters of AdoptAClassroom.org, Autism Speaks, Back on My Feet, Big Brothers Big Sisters, Boys and Girls Club, National Down Syndrome Society, Providence House and the Stars Scholarship Fund.
This represents an increase of $89,000 more than the amount raised during the 2014 campaign.
Throughout the month of May, ACE employees solicit customer donations, and 100 percent of the proceeds go directly to the organizations that were selected. Many employees also host bake sales or car washes to further engage the community, and some employees spend time volunteering with the charities.
"I am incredibly proud to support organizations in the communities where we live and work," said ACE CEO Jay Shipowitz. "Community service is one of ACE’s top priorities and the Give A Little Campaign gives us an opportunity to make an impact on organizations that are really making a difference."The Give A Little Campaign is a part of ACE’s corporate-giving program, the ACE Community Fund. The ACE Community Fund is comprised of in-store fundraisers, corporate donations and volunteer hours that benefit organizations that help children, support education and promote financial literacy. Since its inception in 2004, the ACE Community Fund has donated more than $9.7 million to charities across the nation and continues to empower the communities it serves.
